THE FESTIVE season is just around the corner, so we’ve put together a list of five events in Penarth to look forward to this winter.

These events will surely get you into the festive mood as we enter November – if we’ve missed any please let us know.

Vale Makers Christmas Market  

This event will take place at the Penarth Pier Pavilion on November 10 between 10am and 4pm.  

The Vale Makers are a group of makers from the Vale of Glamorgan who host a range of events. 

Christmas Craft Market 

The market hosted by Crafty Corner Creations UK will be held on November 2 at Penarth Leisure Center in Cogan from 10am until 3pm. 

There will be over 50 stalls showcasing handmade products which will make potential special gifts for friends and family.  

Festive Wreath Making 

A festive wreath making event will be held at Penarth Pier Pavilion on November 27 where you can make your own festive wreath.  

This workshop is suitable for those 16 and over, has a general admission cost of £58.07 and is subject to a booking fee. 

It will take place from 6.30pm till 9pm and the evening will start with a warm glass of hot mulled wine and a tasty mince pie.  

Christmas Children’s Disco 

This event (suitable for children up to age 10) will be held on December 15 at 11 am till 1pm and 2pm till 4pm.  

The tickets cost £12.24 plus a booking fee per child - this includes a Christmas cookie and soft drink.  

Those attending are encouraged to dress up in their favourite festive outfit for the event at Penarth Pier Pavilion.  

DJ Sparky Marky will be welcomed back to the pavilion to play Christmas tunes and games. 

Penarth Pier Pavilion Carol Singing and Open Doors Event 

This free event will be held at the Penarth Pier Pavilion on Saturday December 7 between 11am and 1.30pm.  

To reserve a spot at the event you can book a free general admission ticket online here. 

The day will begin with carol singing in front of the Pavilion at 11am and will include performances by the Penarth Salvation Army Band. 

After the carol singing, those attending are invited to come inside for tea/coffee and mince pies.
