A TELEVISION star from the show Gladiators visited a primary school in Penarth for the opening of their new timber trail.
Albert Primary School had a special visit from the TV show Gladiators to celebrate the opening.
The BBC One competition show which sees ‘superhumans’ take on brave contenders in a test of speed and strength is hosted by Bradley and Barney Walsh.
The Gladiator engaged in workshops which catered to pupils from years one to six, focusing on essential themes.
This included self-belief, confidence, mindfulness, and the importance of finding the positives in everyday life.
The new timber trail is to enhance the students’ physical development with opportunities for low-level balancing, coordination, and challenging climbing activities.
Headteacher, Mr A Gilbert said: “It was inspiring to witness our pupils not only engaging and learning but also having immense fun throughout this enriching experience.”
Lisa Jones, chairperson of Supporters of Albert Primary (SOAP), who contributed to the funding for the timber trail, said:
"The Supporters of Albert Primary are extremely pleased to be able to contribute to funding the new play trail.
“As parents and carers, we are delighted to have this fantastic new facility available for the children to enjoy.”
