DETECTIVES investigating a spate of burglaries in Penarth and Cardiff have arrested two men.
Last week, officers warned residents about a series of break-ins with car keys and cars stolen.
In recent weeks, homes have been targeted in Penarth and other areas including Cardiff Bay, Penylan, Whitchurch, Rhiwbina and Llanedeyrn.
On Friday 8, David Lee Thomas, 34, from Pentwyn was arrested and charged with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
The defendant appeared at Cardiff Magistrates court on Saturday and has been remanded in custody.
He will appear at Cardiff Crown Court next month.
A second man arrested in connection with the burglaries is on conditional bail pending further enquires.
