The Penarth Christmas Tree Festival is set to return, featuring almost 50 creatively decorated trees.

Taking place at St Augustine’s Church, the event spans from Friday, December 6 to Sunday, December 8.

The festival will be opened by the town mayor at 6pm on December 6 and will be open until 9pm.

On Saturday, December 7, the festival will run from 11am to 5pm, and on the final day, it will open from 12 noon to 5pm.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy seasonal music from local groups and browse homemade produce and refreshments.

The trees, designed by various schools, businesses, groups, and individuals, will compete in different categories.

There is also a Visitors’ Prize, which attendees can vote for.

The festival supports three charities: WaterAid, The Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Penarth Lifeboat Station.

Admission is set at £3 for adults, while children can enter for free.

On Saturday, December 7, Santa will make an appearance at St Augustine’s Hall, Albert Road, for a free breakfast event at 9.30am.

This will be followed by a walk through Belle Vue Park led by Santa himself.
