A Vale school took part in Anti-Bullying Week and Children in Need Day.

All Saints Church in Wales Primary School marked the two occasions from Monday, November 11 to Friday, November 15.

The Anti-Bullying Week theme "Choose Respect" aimed to encourage positive action against bullying, resonating strongly with the school's community.

The week started with Odd Socks Day on Tuesday, supported by Andy Day from CBeebies and his band 'Andy and the Odd Socks', promoting individuality and self-expression.

Several classes participated in workshops on Wednesday, led by the Bullies Out team, discussing the nature of bullying and ways to combat it.

The day ended with an assembly led by the Bullies Out team, stressing the importance of kindness and respect.

Positive Noticing Day was also celebrated, where teachers acknowledged and appreciated students' positive actions.

This initiative aimed to foster a nurturing environment and enhance self-esteem.

The week concluded with Children in Need Day on Friday, November 15, where the school community wore bright outfits to support the cause.

A surprise visit from Pudsey Bear delighted the children in the morning.

Later, the staff participated in fun challenges organised by the school council, creating a joyful atmosphere.

The school expressed its appreciation for the efforts of BBC Children in Need, which last year supported nearly 460,000 young people across the UK.

The combination of Anti-Bullying Week and Children in Need Day reinforced the school’s commitment to respect, kindness, and support, furthering its mission to foster a caring community where every child can thrive.
