PEOPLE all over the UK recently celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne for 70 years - she is the longest reigning British monarch in history.

To mark the historic occasion there was a four-day bank holiday (from June 2 to June 5) with beacons lit all over the country - including in Penarth - along with fireworks, fancy dress, street parties and more.

Vale of Glamorgan Camera Club have shared some fabulous photos of the festivities in Penarth, including a spectacular show of fireworks.
